Welcome to Babies Down, Bottles Up. We’re Kisha, Terrin, and Josselyn — three blind moms, best friends, and unapologetic truth-tellers.  Each week, we pour a glass of wine and open up about the real experiences of parenting while blind. Through honest conversations, shared stories, and a touch of humor, we’re here to dispel common misconceptions and reshape the way people view blind motherhood. Whether you’re a fellow parent, an advocate, or just curious, this is a space where authenticity, community, and a little bit of chaos come together.

Our Mission

As three blind moms, we want the podcast to serve as a resource for other blind parents in our community. Our goal isn’t just to educate others about the realities of blind parenting, but to create a space where blind parents feel seen, supported, and connected. Through honest conversations and shared experiences, we hope to build a strong, empowered community — one voice at a time.

Meet The Team

Kisha

A woman with braided hair stands confidently in an orange dress, posing in a grassy backyard with a wooden fence and houses in the background.

Hi, I’m LaKisha Holmes—a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, proud mom of two, podcast cohost, and PTA board member at my kids’ school. Outside of my work in mental health, I stay active by playing blind sports like goalball and beep baseball. I’m passionate about building community, advocating for accessibility, and showing up fully—whether it’s for my family, my clients, or my teammates. Life is busy, but it’s filled with purpose, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Terrin

Terrin is dressed elegantly in a deep burgundy, sequined dress with a flattering neckline. Her long, blonde hair is styled in soft, voluminous curls that cascade over her shoulders. Her makeup is glamorous, featuring bold red lipstick, long lashes, and a warm-toned eyeshadow that complements her overall look. She wears a delicate heart-shaped pendant necklace and is smiling warmly.

I’m Terrin, a wife and mother of two girls, living in beautiful Colorado. I have a deep love for the outdoors, and when I’m not soaking in nature, you’ll find me in the kitchen or creating a warm, welcoming home. Whether it’s cooking a hearty meal or finding joy in the little things of homemaking, I’m all about making everyday life meaningful and cozy.

Josselyn

Josselyn has long, dark hair and light highlights and is smiling while holding a white cane. She is wearing a sleeveless red dress with a floral pattern. Behind her, there is a large window with a view of a cityscape, including buildings and a green lawn. Hanging in front of the window are colorful, translucent glass sculptures in various shapes and colors, including red, yellow, blue, green, and purple. The sculptures resemble flowers or sea creatures and are arranged in a visually striking display.

I’m a proud mother of two girls, based in Dallas, Texas. I’m passionate about adaptive sports, live music, and all things fashion. Whether on the mic or out in the world, I strive to bring authenticity, confidence, and a little sparkle to everything I do.

Danny, producer

Hey, I’m Danny—producer of Babies Down, Bottles Up and the guy making sure all the laughs, stories, and real talk sound their best. When I’m not editing or mixing for BDBU, I’m a full-time work-from-home call center agent, a musician by night, and always up to something in the world of podcasting and radio. I also run my own show and co-host another with my best friend—because who better to talk life with than your day-one? East Coast born and raised, I’m all about good vibes, great playlists, and making unforgettable memories.
